Sunday, April 18, 2010 the VFW hosted a group of visitors from the Bay Pines Veterans Hospital. Our original plan was to have them come and enjoy a game between our AAU Baseball Team, the All Star Bombers and the Raiders. But the weather did not cooperate. We decided to hold it inside and entertain the visitors with bowling and watching the Rays on our Big Screen TV.
The Ladies Auxiliary put together goodie bags for our visitors and went all out to make them feel welcome.
Everyone had a good afternoon and our visitors enjoyed their visit. We served up hamburgers and hot dogs with soft drinks. We all look forward to having them come back in the future and wish them well.
